This blog began with my own search for the best women's jeans.

A search that perhaps never ends!

Looking for a brand that offered sustainable denim, at a price I can afford, in a style that would suit me, I began searching.

Probably a search you also know well.

Women’s jeans are one of the few wardrobe pieces that never expire. A fashion icon.

The idea for them emerged in 1873 when Levi Strauss patented his idea. Nowadays, this is considered the birthday of blue jeans.

Although the basic idea for jeans has never really changed, the styles they appear in have continued to evolve.

From blue jeans to jeans in a myriad of colours. From high-waist to low slung, wide leg to skinny, straight leg to curved.

The evolution of jeans continues with new ideas appearing each season.

And new brands with a focus on denim continue to emerge. Levi’s certainly have competition now days!

There are also many brands now creating ethical denim, including Slvrlake, Everlane, MUD Jeans, and Outland Denim.

Jeans for women are an essential. Whether we dress them up or down, style them for colder months or warm, they are one of those go-to pieces we know how to style no matter the occasion.

There is always one challenge with jeans however, and that is finding the brand and style we most enjoy.
